My very first v-log!

OK, this is something new for me – I’ve never done this before (and I am sure you’ll be able to tell!).  I hope it’s not too bad – I’ve just become a blogger for the EnMESHed monthly subscription box and I really did try to do my best 🙂  Let me know what you think!

 

 

 

Oh, and by the way…I had a brain freeze moment when I was trying to figure out the linden-to-dollar exchange…so yes, I do know $900L is a little bit more than $1.00 US.  Someone like me, who hates numbers, should never go into filming without the stats right at hand. :S

Romping on the beach and Working That Middle

I love summer and beaches…something about the ocean’s currents and the warmth of the sun-baked sand makes me just want to build sandcastles and play in the surf!  So when I got the Sommer romper from Blossom and the Fergie shoes from S0H0E, I immediately thought, beach time!  I also decided to use the Kai set of Demen poses from Image Essentials.

The poses, which also come in mirror poses, were perfect for showing off the romper, which comes in about a dozen different color combinations via hud, and the shoes, which comes in dozens of potential color combinations, as the S0H0E shoe hud can change the heel, insole, decor and body of the shoe to any color on the hud you’d like to use.  Summer beachwear never looked so good!

And of course, when summer comes, you might notice when you take off the bulky sweaters that your body has … well, changed a bit!  And just in time to rescue you and inspire you to lose those excess pounds – or just make you look darn good! – is this collaboration by Blossom and S0H0E, Work That Middle.  The shoes, from S0H0E, have hud tabs to change the body, laces, sole and metals; the outfit, from Blossom, has gloves, top, and shorts, all customizable  with the hud provided.  Gloves change color and design embroidered on them, shorts change color, and top changes color and a fishnet option for the fatpack.  I used the Sultry V2 poses from Image Essentials; with their flirty, sassy look, they seemed perfect for this outfit!  After all, how can you not feel powerful and confident with this outfit on?

Hopping down the bunny trail…

And yes.  I have been waiting for Easter to type that, lol.

What’s even better is that you can go around to all your events and stuff wearing a bunny outfit and no one even blinks!  And oh what an outfit!  Le Fashion Whore has an adorable outfit with color-change huds for outfit, ears and tail, Daddy’s Lil Bunneh, and a terribly cute bunny with a color-change HUD named Baby Bunneh.  Is this adorable?  And I used Image Essentials’ Sultry V1 poses and mirror poses to add to the cuteness factor…with a bit of sexiness added in, of course!

And then I danced a bit with Baby Bunneh…a great time was had by all!  🙂  These photos were taken at my gig at the Blues Barn, a really fantastic place to hang out and enjoy the blues!  It’s moving to a new location, so I can’t give you the SLURL, but Monday, you should be able to find it in search!

Like Image Essentials’ Sweet as Honey series of poses with mirror poses, which were paired with Petit Chat Scent of Spring headband on my boat dock and sand nearby.  The poses look like fun, with a pin-up girl-like quality about them.  The Scent of Spring headband adds to the playful aspect, with branches loaded with flowers that can be changed by hud for literally hundreds of looks!

The next set of poses from IE, Bento Ragnar, was paired with the Petit Chat Cameo headband.  I was struck with a whimsical idea and decided to adopt a look like a Viking warrior woman…who also decides to dress up her outfit for spring!  And I will tell you, with these fierce poses and mirror poses, I for one wouldn’t want to tell this warrior that the headband is too fanciful!  The headband’s flowers have several huds to change the colors of the outer and inner petals for thousands of possible looks!

And last but of course not least…Le Fashion Whore released Louise heels and then also released a notice for their merger with S0H0E Shoes.  S0H0E Shoes’ Kate heels is the first result of this synergy!  Both shoes have huds to change color for each part of the shoes, so your shoes can be unified with one color, or made more dramatic with each separate part of the shoes a different color!

Oubilette has a pair of chucks that will thrill all you pastel goths out there, and a dress named after the original “goth girl,” Hades’ Persephone!  It comes in 5 color combinations and will look soooooo good on you, goth or not!

QE has provided the most gorgeous and SEXY outfit for this event, named after the goddess of the hunt Diana!  The set comes in Sable and Fawn; I decided to pair these up with Psycho-Byte’s offering, the Witchy Rabbits (I’m showing them in Gray, Browny, Gold and Snow, but they come in a lot more looks!)…after all, I think even Diana would hesitate to kill these cuties!

Nightmare has a Spring Witch Halo that can change color and add bees or butterflies via hud!  There’s also a butterfly addon for your hair…it really does feel like spring with all the flowers, and bees, and butterflies!

!Lyrical B!zarre Templates added three more items to this event, two jewelry sets (necklaces/earrings) named Salem and Ostara, and a GORGEOUS latticework gazebo with fur floor!  I found it perfect to show off Lore’s Personal Altar and the Wheel of the Year tables, in plain and mossy, and the Wheel of the Year pillow!

Last, but certainly not least, is Get Frocked’s Kiara mini dress in Bats Blue…and if you are wondering, yes, it is netting.  No, I was not going to face the camera to show this off.  Yes, I am a prude occasionally.  But just occasionally – I figure it helps me have a more rounded personality. 😛

A-blogging we will go…!

I did say in my post-before-last that I had taken a bunch of my blogging stuff and locked them in the closet for later…well, the pounding and the cries of, “Let us out!  Blog us!!” got to be just too much…so I’m blogging the last of my items from InspirationSL and, tomorrow, the last of my items from  Ostara’s Altar!

I have always loved the bohemian, gypsy lifestyle – in RL I was called “the Boho girl” at my job – so for me, InspirationSL has been just amazing!  So colorful, fringe-y, appliqued and so fun to wear!  Just look at the following styles and see:

First is Spyralle, who has provided the Esmeralda colorful skirts in 3 colors and two different patterns per skirt!  The patterns are absolutely amazing – if you feel a kaleidoscopic effect from looking at them…well, I think they look like that too!  And Spyralle added earrings and cuff bracelet to enhance this lovely outfit.

Next up, Mirror Mirror has given us an InspirationSL exclusive, the Fortune Teller dress in yummy shades of blue, green, orange, pink and yellow!  Gorgeous and oh-so-light, with a strapless gathered bodice and gathered waistline culminating in a handkerchief hem.  Lovely!

I’m Feeling So Zen :)

Of course, that’s because I have found nirvana in SL!  I have found THE best furniture and home furnishings store; it has gorgeously textured and designed items at ridiculously low prices!  I didn’t spend more than $200L for any of the individual sets I bought…and boy, did I buy a lot!

The store is Zen Creations, and I can’t stop gushing over their merchandise!  I have a ridiculously crowded inventory, but I will ALWAYS make space for this store’s items!  Seriously, if you are like me and not able to spend money like water, but you LOVE to shop…and by love, I mean retail therapy is your daily mantra…Zen Creations is for you!
