SOOOOOOOOOO Much Yummy Goodness!

I told myself, no, limit yourself.

I told myself, you’ll take on too much!

But then I looked at some of the stuff I had to blog…and then some other stuff…and then even more stuff…and they all screamed to me, “BLOG US!!!!!!!!!!!!”

So, here we go…I did tie up some stuff in a closet, but I’ll let them out soon, I promise!

First InspirationSL,

With the round this time focusing on the gypsy girl Esmeralda, it’s more colorful and, frankly, very sexy!  First up is AdoreZ, with the Sara dress that can be changed in a wink to another texture!  That plunge in the front is oooh-la-la!  The dress comes in Slink, Belleza and Maitreya sizes and has a 50-color hud, which is fantastic!  Banana Banshee has the most amazing mesh eyes, with 2 huds, Wanderer and Wanderer Darks, to change your eyes into dozens of beautiful colors.  I soooooo adore them; I won’t wear any others!  Cute Boheme has a separate blouse and skirt combination, the top cropped off and the skirt in flirty, sexy layers.  They come in Flowers, Stripes, and Spring, and all of the colors are stunning!  The jewelry from Beloved Jewelry goes perfectly with a 2-piece type of dress, as it has, in addition to the usual bracelets, necklace, and earrings, anklets, a hip chain and a pierced belly ring.  So beautiful and ornate – you can really let your inner gypsy out to dance!

Ostara’s Altar celebrates all that is powerful about life, how everything rejuvenates in the spring, beginning to grow and flourish and promise a bountiful harvest.  If nothing else, the fashions you’ll find will make you feel pretty and powerful too!  1313 Mockingbird Lane has put together a cauldron witch’s hat and gorgeous belted dress with dagged edge.  The dress comes in black, blue orange pink, purple, white and yellow and is exclusively for Maitreya bodies.  C&C has made the loveliest Altar set; the flowers remind us all that Wicca is tied to the worship of nature.  Even the blade is a most appealing color!  Dark Passions Koffin Nails has  provided two amazing sets of nail polish – Lady of the Moon and Magic Crystals.  It’s no wonder, looking at those nails, that Dark Passions has become my favorite nail polish maker!  [Bubble] has put together an anklet set named Sibyl that is really so customizable – the hud gives you dozens of options to keep you happy!  [AD] has a threesome of chairs draped with roses: Blush, with pink and light red roses, Innocence, with baby pink and white roses, and Royal, with dark red and purple roses.  Hard to resist these beautiful items…so don’t!

Image Essentials has sooooo many amazing poses, and these ones that I am blogging about are just perfect for lazing around…or pretending like you’re sitting on a cloud, peering around…or even snuggled up next to your loved one.  Yes, Coreig is back, cuddling with me (albeit reluctantly; I think he still remembers the hours of sitting on a rock I made him do!) in My Soulmate V3.  Such a sweet, loving pose!  Heaven 3 reminds me of an angel whose curiosity has gotten the better of her – she has to look and see what’s happening!  I, of course, being no angel, had to show it on the ground. 😀  Finally, five poses with mirrors to celebrate Lazing!  It is, of course, an art form, but getting these poses will definitely get you closer to perfecting it!

UPDATE:  Heaven is a gift for members of the # I Love Pose # group,  secondlife:///app/group/9dd9a4ec-714d-3d56-78f4-8ed4430fd4dc/about.  Just join (has a 25L fee), wear the tag and click the board in the events area of Image Essentials to get the poses.

Petit Chat has the most adorable seasonal accessory in these earrings – they are tiny eggs!  You can, with the enclosed hud, change the color of the ribbon, the color of the egg, the color of the metals, and even apply very gorgeous and cool patterns on the eggs!  You have to, really HAVE TO, buy these!  After all, what would an Easter bonnet be without some pretty, eye-catching eggs swinging under it?

And the last, but most assuredly not least, entry is for Reflected Dreams Gallery.  The artists that display there are just amazing, their artwork always eliciting from me a sigh, or a laugh, or a good cry…and of course that’s what artwork should do for you!  This time around, it was both tears and laughs…and you’ll see why if you look at the following pictures:

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

First, the laughs: the vintage tin signs, as well as a couple of the love sayings in the Love Series, just made me laugh so heartily!  If you can look at the “Boobs” tin sign and not laugh, you are a better person than I am!  And of course I got all romantic and weepy about the Love Series posters – well, the ones that didn’t make me laugh – after all, a sign saying “I love you more than coffee” – it’s just funny to me 😀  And then the Fallen Celtic cross…just heartbreaking.  You are almost thrown off by the sunlight in the picture – but then realize that the cross is even more plunged in darkness for the contrast.  You have a feeling that the cross will still be lying there, ignored and abandoned, if ever you were to stumble upon it.

Fashion and Art

Ahhhhh, the fun of blogging!  I get to wear amazing fashions and view impressive artworks – I so love what I do!  Today, I get to blog a dress and shoes, new poses, and some paintings – so lovely and fun!

First, the shoes, dress, and poses – Hailee maxi dress and Cloud Floral shoes from Le Fashion Whore, Viper poses from Image Essentials.  I had to take the pictures for this at my place; they reminded me of beaches, summer, and waves – all the things I love about warm weather!  I love the dress and how it changes into so many different moods with the enclosed hud!  The shoes are so comfy and spring-like, which right now is what I need – we’re still waiting for winter to go away. 😦  The Viper poses from IE are fantastic also and fit perfectly with the props from my place.  Bring a little spring into your life with these!

You can find the dress and shoes here, along with the rest of the information from the store:

I also got to enjoy another group of lovely paintings when Reflected Dreams sent me three of the latest amazing artworks from their talented artists.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

First is Absolution Framed, a very powerful painting depicting a woman in a wimple and hair veil, with what looks like a nun-like robe; there are children bowing in front of her and clinging to her robe.  The rose on the front of her dress is indicative of the fact that “the rose is a frequent symbol for the Virgin Mary, who is called a ‘rose without thorns’ since she was free of original sin” (https://pegasus.cc.ucf.edu/~janzb/courses/hum3930b/rosesymbol.htm).  It’s an incredibly memorable and moving portrayal of how Mother Mary – or mothers everywhere –  protects and absolves those who come to her, especially the children.  The next picture, Castlebook, is a sunny and fanciful look at the power of books.  The scene can be seen almost exploding from the book; those of us who love books know how real that is!  The third painting is Light On the Rocks, another beautiful exploration of the borders between light and dark and how restful and tempting that scene can be.

How to find these works and how much they cost:

Ostara’s Altar is opening today!

Ostara, according to the Huffington Post and other sources, is a celebration of spring. “The spring equinox in the Northern Hemisphere falls on March 20 this year, marking the time when the sun passes over the celestial equator. Wiccans and other neopagans observe the day as Ostara, a festival that celebrates the season’s change from dark winter to brightening spring.”

And of course, who wouldn’t want to celebrate that?  It’s why I was thrilled when it came time for Ostara’s Altar to open – it opens today! – because I am DYING for spring to get here!  It’s time for winter to gracefully depart the scene…and the amazingly fun  and fashionable items you can get at Ostara’s Altar will help you while away the time until spring finally gets here!  I’ll be featuring LIVID’s The Green Witch Doll ensemble and Zombie Suicide’s Eve earrings, Cadence Pencil Dress in grey, and Lumae Persephone headchains in gold and rose-gold; the chains also come in black and silver.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

First, the Green Witch Doll – and isn’t it delightful?  The ensemble includes boots with socks, dress, basket with pose, and witch hat with decoration.  Just too cute!  You will definitely going to be seeing green with this!

And now I’m modeling the Cadence Pencil Dress, the Eve earrings from Zombie Suicide, which I changed with a hud that allows colors to match just about any outfit, and the Persephone headchain, one time in gold with purple flowers, and the next in rose gold with teal flowers.  The headchain, from Lumae, has a hud as well to change chain, jewels, and flowers.

Ostara's Altar Event AD 2017 - Final

Inspiration Fun in SL!

Today, I’m going to focus on InspirationSL, since today was opening day; tomorrow it’ll be Ostara’s Altar’s turn. 🙂  I put together an outfit and pose from Pink Rayne and Petit Chat’s offerings at the event (and I wore this outfit to a DJ gig – and people went crazy!).  The pose, the dress and the jewelry all are called Esmeralda – and when you see them all together, you’ll see why!

Well, actually, you will now, lol:

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

The Pink Rayne skirts and tops come in four colors that you can mix and match: tops come in red, purple, brown and black; skirts in green, red, purple and brown.  Petit Chat’s jewelry comes in earrings, necklace, bracelets and anklets that look a lot like coins on chains and have huds to change colors among several choices; the metals can be changed from 4 choices as well.  The pose from PR looks as if Esmeralda was arrested in the middle of a sultry dance in the market square – wonder whose pockets are being picked as she sways her hips…!

****WARNING! TEASER ALERT!****

Ahem.

Well, now that I have your attention…!

I am going to be blogging for two VERY special events coming up in a few days!

The first on is InspirationSL, which will begin March 19th with the theme, “Gypsy Esmeralda.”  Very colorful, sexy, and fun!  Here’s the logo; I’ll give you a LM when the event starts.

InspirationSL Logo

The other event, which begins a day after InspirationSL, is Ostara’s Altar, beginning March 20th and subtitled, “Celebrate Darkness in the Light at Ostara’s Altar.” This event celebrates all that is welcome and wonderful about the emerging from the dark of winter to the light and promise of spring.  You’ll again have to wait for a LM…no fair peeking now!

Look for more coming soon!

“This world is but a canvas to our imagination.”  ~Henry David Thoreau

I just had to use that quote, as I get to blog about some stunning works of art from some extremely talented artists!  I blog for Reflected Dreams Gallery and Shop, which for someone who loves art like me, this is a cush job.  And yeah, my walls look a LOT more colorful too. 😀

I’ve tried to find the best Windlight settings for these works.  They very much deserve having the best to bring out their beauty…and since they say a picture is worth a thousand words, I’ll show you the pictures:

Flock of Petals_001

This is “Flock of Petals,” where a – topiary?  bird? – rules over a field of colorful flowers.  The light suggests another world where large green leafy-looking birds could exist – a bright light that throws sharp shadows.  The angles of the flowers are made more pronounced, looking almost unreal.  An intriguing work!

I put these paintings, Floral Clarity and Reflected Elegance, together as they both looked like glass-blown flowers, the fragility of them, the impermanence and yet the strength and beauty of the flowers.  I love that tension, how it feels like you could move wrong and break them – or you could move wrong and they could cut you!

Pillar of Colors_001

Do not say, “But isn’t that painting sideways?”  It really is not!  The painting is called “Pillar of Colors,” and the work is to look like a pillar made of the living, colorful flowers.  It certainly plays with your sense of perception of reality, and forces you to really look at the work and absorb it.

These two works are shown together, as they both have a theme of light and luminescence.  “Illumination” and “Shafts of Luminescence” both explore the role of light to illuminate and create tension with the dark.  A playful sprite is revealed, lovely flowers concealed and left to be a beautiful surprise as the light shines.

Sailing Away_001

The final painting for today is “Sailing Away,” where a boat is seen from the perspective of the viewer sailing into the horizon.  The mood of this piece depends on the viewer’s eye – is it seen as freedom and exhilarating possibilities, or is it seen as melancholy and sad?

You can also see these at the following  Flickr page address:

More Sun, More Fun!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I am so thrilled to be blogging more yumminess from Le Fashion Whore and Vero Modero!  I started out with Le Fashion Whore’s offering, the lace-up skirt Jessica.  It’s a sexy mini with a range of options on the enclosed hud and sizes for all the major mesh body shapes.  I tried it out on the beach with a bandeau top and it was so comfy as well as sexy!  I think I look pretty good in it; don’t you? 🙂

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I then tried on the Vero Modero offerings, the Tek Suede Dress with color hud and the sleeveless Wool Vest and Skirt – and they were just as comfortable in the sun!  Although, now that I think about it, there might be a reason I took the pictures for the Wool outfit in the shade…!  Both outfits have a range of colors from the enclosed hud; the Wool outfit even has a leather belt and optional flower button.  The Tek dress has a charming bralet top with sleeveless jersey dress over it and is just perfect for a summer garden or beach party.  Both bring an understatedly sexy vibe to your wardrobe and are can’t-miss!

And how do you get there amazing designs?

Fun in the Sun, Fun in the Subway…

…well, let’s just be honest – fun anywhere!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

First, for the sun…I decided to take a spin on my jetski, and then catch a few rays on an Image Essentials towel I blogged back last year…and it still looks great!  I an wearing the Kate laced romper from Le Fashion Whore, which comes in individual colors, plain and denim, and a fatpack of all the colors, both denim and plain.  It is gorgeous, fun, and so easy to relax in!  And it looks good no matter where I wear it!  It comes in sizes for some of the major mesh body makers:  Belleza, Maitreya and Slink.  You can find it at Fusion101 event:  http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Bal%20Harbour/53/204/22

Now for the subway: While I was working at MadPea’s Sinister Slaughters start (http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/MadPea/120/77/2665), I decided I’d probably want something a bit warmer – subways can be chilly! – so I paired Petit Chat’s Berenice boots (I used the animal prints only, to go with the berets, but there’s TONS of huds, from Leather to Scales to Tartan and more!) with the Lauren French berets Animals fatpack.  I think I look amazing!  The boots can be found at The Chapter 4 until the 20th:     http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Dreamlove/96/148/1236                                        flikr : https://www.flickr.com/groups/2166800@N25/

Relaxing with Image Essentials and Le Fashion Whore!

I had the unbelievable good fortune to get an amazing item to blog for Image Essentials, and since I had a really cute item to blog for Le Fashion Whore, I decided to combine them in one post!

The item from Image Essentials is the Danni chair, a chair, ottoman, and lamp set with the cutest poses!  I tried it out with the Matsuri Loose Shirt from Le Fashion Whore, a top that is honestly long enough to be a minidress and is so lovely, with its corseted midriff and texture hud:

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

Doesn’t that chair look so comfy?  And so well lit too, with the accompanying lamp!  Between the shirt and the chair/ottoman combination, I was so incredibly relaxed!  This chair has 10 bento poses and the ottoman automatically moves for certain poses!  It is available for $250L at Designer Showcase (http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Corrupted%20Innocence/223/57/23) from March 5 to March 31.  The Matsuri shirt is available at Le Fashion Whore’s shop.

And here are the LMs for the stores!

When a Good Cause Is Also Fun and Tasty

That’s what I experienced at the MadPea International Food Fair – a lot of fun and tasty (well, in my imagination!) things to see and do and experience!  I loved every minute of it, as we were all here to help Feed a Smile, a charity focusing on helping the children living in the slums of Kenya to have good nutrition to help them learn – so they are trying to build a kitchen to go along with the school.  Just a wonderful cause – and by the way, you can still donate until Wednesday!  http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Harms%20Way/228/227/1233  is where to go to get started…

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

…and as you can see above, wow, what a start!  There was a gorgeous center circle with flowers and an old-fashioned wrought iron clock.  The path went to the center, around the island, and reconnected to go down even further.  Colorful tents, signs everywhere giving information on the fair – and of course I had to wave my MadPea sparkly wand around for good luck!  I got that from one of MadPea’s ExPEAriences. 😀

Going to the center of the fair, I saw the bleachers and stage for the entertainment portion of the fair.  There was a fountain right in the center of the road, like the clock island earlier, and plenty of space for people to dance!  I even hopped up on the stage, although I can’t sing worth a darn…but hey, we can all fantasize, right?  There was even a video screen where you could watch a video describing what Feed a Smile is doing in Africa.  Oh, and let’s not forget the raffles!  I think that was the most popular part of the fair!

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I then wandered to the end of the fair, where there were stores and small booths arranged around two park-like areas.  One park was definitely greener than the other. but both were a lot of fun to sit in and pretend to eat yummy food.  Good thing too, as a lot of the designers’ items made me soooooo hungry!  But just look at some of these offerings!  Cwitch completely got my LOVE for including recipes and a free tea towel with their booth items!  There was also food art, just so gorgeous, so…lifelike, so…ooookay, better move along before I get in trouble for eating the paintings!

There were a lot of stores on the main drags too (just look above to see some of them!), and MadPea had a sweets store and a gatcha store, with f-f-f-f-foooooooood on the table!  I, um, think I need to run along…!  And as you can also see above, there were tons of soup kettle donation jars for people to give generously to Feed a Smile.  100% of the donations went to Feed a Smile; 50% of vendors’ purchases went to the charity.

I wanted to kind of get away from the hectic pace of the fair at one point…and wouldn’t you know it, there were two lovely parks, with benches to sit on and so much greenery and flowers that I instantly felt at peace.  You can see below how soothing they would be:

If people ever tell you, “Second Life is full of scammers and nasty people”… well, all I can say is, when I looked at this fair and all the people who made it possible for MadPea to raise $3 billion lindens (that’s 12.000.00 US!), I saw nothing but the generosity and kindness that can be found in the human heart.
